Each of us starts with an ability to be a great leader. We own the wisdom to see and appreciate the global world we live in. It is those who commit the wisdom to action that separates good leaders from great leaders. Kiwanis taught me to be a great leader!
For more than 35 years, I have been a proud member of the Kiwanis-family. I have had the opportunity to serve at all levels of our Kiwanis-family organizations. Since my days in Key Club, each Kiwanis member I have worked with has taught me how to be an effective volunteer and community leader. My involvement in Kiwanis has been instrumental in making me who I am today.
In my 27 years with Michigan State University I have focused on best practices, leadership and professional development, strategic planning, project management and fiscal responsibility. I have taken every opportunity to learn from those I work with at all levels of the organization.
I believe that the combination of my Kiwanis and professional experience, has prepared me to be an effective leader helping build on our historic legacy of service excellence and with an inspired commitment to the future.
